I mention this because I am following a couple of good friends in a new promotion activity. I will be giving away two free books on Goodreads. I'm curious to see how many people sign up and if it makes a difference. My hope is that if you haven't read my books before that you will sign up to try to win a free book- and then review it on Goodreads. If nothing else you will check out my other award winning books. You can find most of them at your library or a library in your district. If not, ask your librarian to purchase them. Five of my books have received starred reviews from Booklist Magazine- the magazine for librarians.
So if you are on Goodreads, please find me and friend or follow. Have a fantastic weekend. Cheers~
You know, that asking a librarian to purchase a book actually works. I've had our librarians do that for me. Very cool. I nee to look into Goodreads more...it's on my list of things to do.
ReplyDeleteNancy, I've been on Goodreads a while and once my print book was out I had an AMAZING response. Far more effective than my blog launch efforts. I offered 25 print copies and at last count nearly 650 (yes you read that correctly!!) people entered it!! And I had a surge of adds and to-reads and new friends.
ReplyDeleteYou should try LibraryThing as well - I had a very successful giveaway there as well - offered 10 print copies and had nearly 180 people apply!
I'm definitely shifting my focus & energy from blogging etc to Goodreads and Librarything - now I must just get reading books again.
Are we friend on goodreads yet? I'm off to check! :)

I really love Goodreads. Good luck with your contest!
ReplyDeleteHi All- thanks for commenting.
ReplyDeleteJudy- Thanks! I'll try Library Thing.
I have a question for my blogger friends are you finding that people aren't auto following any more? I've been trying to bring in new interest and it seems that most blogs simply are content to speak to the readers they have and not bother to find new. True?
