On our walk today, little dog and I passed a group of Mallard ducks sleeping on top of two large logs in the middle of a swamp/pond. I thought how clever. I doubt a coyote is hungry enough to splash his way through the water to get to them. Even if he did, they could wake up and fly away before he reached them. It's times like this I wish I had a camera with me.
What did you see today that stuck in your mind?
I don't think I've ever seen sleeping ducks before. How unusual. Today (okay, it was yesterday), I watched my daughter dress up my hubby with her sparkly bead necklaces. It definitley stuck in my mind!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely picture that conjures up... even without a camera. Now you've mentioned it you've reminded me about a blue tit that I saw pecking at the gutter beside our bedroom window early this morning. He was so close I could almost touch him.
