March 18

When it rains, it pours. That is an old saying meaning that sometimes everything happens at once. We fixed the oven and the refrigerator went out. I'm not kidding. The fridge is not something I can fix. So I'm off today to spend the money we would have spent on a stove to buy a new fridge. If the dishwasher goes, then I'll do dishes by hand. But our food is spoiling and I need to go out and purchase a working fridge as soon as I can. At least the freezer is still working. There is always a sliver lining.
I hope you have a good weekend. That spring comes to your house and sunshine falls lightly on your skin. Cheers~

  1. I have been going through the same stuff recently so I understand... the appliance gods need to shine down on you.

  2. Hi Nancy: How exciting. A new fridge. During the winter ours stopped and we lived out of the snow. There's a picture there and it was a very fun culinary challenge. Then the best part of all, we got Ethel.

I love her. She's so pretty. And it's the first fridge we ever had with the freezer on the bottom. So fun.

Wishing you tons of fun shopping for your new fridge. Hope you get a good one and I hope you show us some pictures.

Eat well and Happy Spring Equinox.
