I imagine I am quite boring these days- what with talk of endless word count and pages. If it helps I only have four more days after today. Then the book will be written and it will be time to start revisions. That thought keeps me going...

It's supposed to be warm today- but the lake is still iced over. The trees still dark branches against an overcast sky. The only encouragement that Spring is near is the sound of bird song-which has been missing for six weeks. Robins, geese, crows, cardinals and I heard a woodpecker...
There is life outside my window.
