Have you been watching the Olympics? I am always sad when they are being held close and still I can't see them in person. I imagine you get to see more at home than you do there, but wouldn't it be wonderful to actually be there?
I like speed skating-not the short track with a bunch of skaters pushing and shoving, but the long distances with two athletes going around the track. I get mesmerized by the rhythm of their pace, the swing of their arms, the glide of their skates. They make it look effortless-and yet when they near the end you can see the pain and hard work of it on their faces. Awesome.
What are your favorite winter Olympic sports?
I like the skiing and the bobsled - and the hockey!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Vancouver is one of those towns I'd actually want to visit for the Olympics, too. I've seen it from a distance, but didn't go into the city.
