Rejections, rejections rejections-such is the life of a writer. It seems I write too "out of the box" and when I write something that is inside the box its "overdone and too common." lol
Of course these are opinions but writers live in a subjective world. What one person thinks is too common another thinks is too out there.
My latest book Dream Man, was originally written in 1998. I was told it was too series romance by single title publishers and not at all series by series romance publishers. It was too paranormal and not paranormal enough. But I kept revising and sending it out. By the time I was ready to send it to The Wild Rose Press, technology had changed. Cell phones, dvrs, mp3, and digital recordings had replaced video tapes, vcrs, and cds. But the story itself was worth the work and I updated it and sent it in and here it is today available to readers who have given it very good reviews.
Cheers~
